YIPPI Became the Official Social Messaging App of the Panagbenga Flower Festival
In parts of the Philippines, January and February of every year are the hottest and driest months, but Baguio, which is located in the highlands, is cool and chilly all year round.
1st February to 10th March, 2019 is set as the "Panagbenga Festival" in the Philippines. It is also known as the "Blooming Flowers Festival". As one of the biggest festivals in Baguio, the Panagbenga Festival each year attracts millions of tourists from all over the world.
As one of the major sponsors of the internationally acclaimed Flower Festival celebration, Toga Limited, a Nevada corporation (Toga), is pleased to announce that its social media app known as Yippi was named the official social messaging app for the Panagbenga Festival. On February 7, 2019, Togas representatives met at the Le Monet Hotel in Camp John Hay with local media partners, ABS-CBN News, SunStar and Pi TV regarding its private institution partnership and advertisement campaign.
In conjunction with the "Panagbenga Festival" celebration in the Philippines, Toga sent representatives to Baguio, Philippines to participate in a series of activities with Baguios local teams. Booths were set up in the campuses to promote the Yippi app. Each download of the Yippi app raised 10 pesos, which were donated to Apolinario Mabini Elementary School and Baguio City National High School.
The most significant part of the "Panagbenga Festival" was the parade of floats. The participants of the parade used colourful flowers to embellish their floats, while the performers wore colourful costumes to highlight the traditional culture of the Philippines. Toga also joined in the parade of floats with its main character representing Yippi. The Yippi float carried its trademark yellow duck adorned with flowers and the phrase Download Yippi Now to promote and encourage the audience to download the Yippi app. Booths that showcased Yippis features and content were on display at the event. Cosplayers and mascots were onsite at the booth to further promote Yippis ever increasing presence in the public eye.
At the end of the "Panagbenga Festival" carnival, a press conference was held by a local TV station, ABS-CBN News. Togas Business Development Manager, Mr. Tan Fei was interviewed and also appeared in promotional clips to introduce the Yippi app. Mr. Tan also introduced the monthly Live Lucky Draw program, which provided users with a chance to win cash, prizes and cars while actively using the Yippi app.
